It's been a very good year for online sales at Nauset Lantern Shop.  Onion lanterns, usually copper, remain our biggest seller and most popular style.  However, nautical lanterns, marine lanterns, Pilgrim and Cape Cod style lanterns have been very popular as well.  The onion lantern orders in all finishes are evenly distributed among wall and post, and hanging onion lantern versions are also popular this year.

We want to emphasize that all of our lanterns are custom made to order, and not mass produced and sitting in inventory.  We hand fabricate all of the copper, brass and pewter parts and fittings for our lanterns, using machinery and presses that are more than 100 years old in some instances.  We also take the time to inside solder all of the seams and joints in our lanterns so that they are not visible on the outside of the lantern.

Because each lantern is made to order, you should expect several weeks for delivery, too.  We don't charge your credit card until your lanterns are shipped, also.  And, finally, each lantern has an individually numbered name plate on it to certify it was hand made to order.
